Team O'Brien
Cory Teunissen
Where You Ride: I grew up riding on a lake called Somerset Dam but now I ride almost everyday on the Brisbane River. It's such a sweet little place to ride after school and all during the day on the weekends.
Why Do You Wakeboard: I wakeboard because the feeling of landing a new trick drives me to keep going out on the water everyday. Every time I get on the water it is like slice of paradise. Just being out on the water with a fully weighted boat with all you're mates, what can be better than that?
What Trick Gives You The Most Satisfaction & Why: I don't tend to think that I have a favourite trick that I do every set. But whenever I do a big nose grab or stalefish grab heel side back side 180 into the flats and land blind it feels so slow and floaty.
What's Your Set-Up (board, boots, stance, boat, speed, rope length): Behind the boat I ride the 135 Coda with the Nomads 9-11, I stand all the way out on 10-10. Behind my Supra I ride 23.5 at 75ft rope. On the cable I ride the 138 Paradigm with the Seekers 9-11.
Most Memorable Wakeboard Experience: Winning my first world tittle in 2011 while staying with Cobe and Tarah Mikacich. And being the youngest kid to ever land a 900 at 13 years old.
Thank Yous: First of all, I would like to thank my parents and my brother for pushing me to my limits to get me where I am today and to where I want to be. Then all of the O'brien team both America and Australia for always supporting me. Then all my other sponsors Josh, Rick and Amy from Supra Boats. Chris and Darren from Jetpilot and Zoe from Dragon sunglasses. And just anyone else that has helped me throughout my wakeboarding life so far.
